Speech-Language Consultations
As the need for Speech-Language services continues to grow, ACT is now pleased to be offering SLP Consultations across our Ottawa clinics.
What are SLP Consultations?
SLP Consultation were developed to allow families to receive in-person 1-on-1 consultation and recommendations from an ACT SLP.
What to Expect
After booking an available timeslot, clients will come in with their parent/guardian for one session where the SLP will work with them to understand their main communication concerns and make recommendations to support those needs (things to practice, other referrals to explore, strategies to try etc.)
Following the session, the SLP will follow up with the family by providing a written copy of the recommendations and any resources that would be helpful. They will also be available via email for any follow up questions for two weeks after the consultation.
SLP Consultations are eligible for funding under the Ontario Autism Program Core Clinical Services.
Sessions are one-hour in length. You must complete registration before being able to book an available consultation.
