Sleep Consultation Program

Now Offering Sleep Consultation!

Sleep Consultation is a caregiver-mediated program that provides up to 10 hours of consultation, assessment, and training for children and youth with sleep challenges.

This program uses a combination of Occupational Therapy and Applied Behavioural Analysis to address and treat sleep challenges.

Administered by a Registered Behaviour Analyst, and delivered virtually, this program aims to equip caregivers with the training and treatment plan to help their children get better sleep.

Is this program right for you?

  • Your child is having difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or getting enough sleep
  • Your child does not have underlying medical sleep conditions (sleep apnea, insomnia, etc.)
  • You have availability for data collection, meetings and treatment plan implementation

What to expect

This free consultation with a Registered Behaviour Analyst aims to determine if your family is a good fit for the program.

To get started, you will receive a Medical Screening Checklist to be completed prior to the Sleep Assessment. You will also be asked to complete 5-10 days of baseline data.

The Sleep Assessment will involve meeting with your family and completing a thorough questionnaire to determine your child’s needs. The assessment will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Following the Sleep Assessment, your Registered Behaviour Analyst will develop a detailed treatment plan to be shared with your family.

After receiving your treatment plan, a review meeting will be scheduled to ask any questions or make any adjustments to the plan.

You will then implement the Sleep Treatment Plan, with continued support from your Registered Behaviour Analyst and input from an Occupational Therapist as applicable.

After one week of the implementation, you will meet with your Registered Behaviour Analyst to review progress and make any adjustments.

Two additional hours of follow-up meetings are available to families and can be scheduled at any time and dispersed in any manner as requested by the family.
