Creating an Individualized Therapy Plan
The process of seeking the right program for your child and family can often be overwhelming.
What type of therapy is the best fit?
What kind of therapy schedule would best suit their needs?
Will the services they need fit within my budget?
At ACT Learning Centre, we understand the many questions that come with starting this process and have designed a four-step action plan to make the process of creating a therapy plan simple and straightforward with the intention of giving you peace of mind that your child is in the best possible program designed specifically for their needs.
Initial Consultation
The no-cost initial consultation is the first step in creating an individualized therapy plan and allows our intake and senior therapy teams better get to know your family and understand your needs. We will also use this consultation to answer any and all questions you may have about ACT and our programs. Our number one goal is that your child is in a program that is best for them. If at any time it is decided that ACT isn’t the right option, we will happily connect you with other services that may be better suited to your needs and goals.
Identify Funding Options
All therapy programs offered by ACT are eligible for expense under the Ontario Autism Program. In addition to OAP funding, there are a number of other funding sources that you may be eligible for. Following the initial consultation, our team will work with you to identify all funding options available to your family to offset the cost of your child’s programming.
Develop an Individualized Treatment Plan
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to intervention for children with autism. Our therapists will work hand-in-hand with your family to set the goals for intervention and create the most effective therapy plan. We are unique in that we provide a variety of evidence-based behavioural, developmental and hybrid models of treatment. We also offer all programs in both English and French.

Ongoing Communication
You are the expert when it comes to your child. Throughout your child’s programming, we believe it’s important to have ongoing communication and collaboration to reach goals and achieve milestones. Your child’s therapy team will regularly communicate with you about your child’s progress and will always be open to making adjustments to the therapy plan if needed.
Our team is dedicated to being there for your family every step of the way, from the initial consultation to the therapy plan in action, and beyond. Interested in learning more? You can book a consultation by visiting here.
