Subhanah Ali

Position: Supervised Instructor Therapist
Categories: Behavioural Therapy

Subhanah speaks English, French and Urdu and is currently working towards a BA in Health Studies from York University.

Subhanah has extensive experience in ABA, working with children with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders, supporting communication, social and life skill development, and using data to guide individualized interventions. Subhanah has also worked as an Early Childhood Assistant, creating safe, structured environments and supporting daily routines.

I chose to work at ACT Learning Centre because I am passionate about supporting children with autism and developmental needs in a meaningful and hands-on way. My experience in ABA therapy and working with diverse learners has shown me how impactful individualized support can be, and I value environments that prioritize growth, communication and independence. ACT’s focus on evidence-based approaches and supportive team collaboration aligns closely with my goals of continuing to develop my skills while making a positive difference in children’s lives.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I’d love to visit Switzerland. The scenery looks unreal, especially the mountains and lakes, and it seems like a really peaceful place to explore.

If you could have any exotic animal as a pet, what would it be?

I would choose a baboon. They are highly intelligent and adaptable animals with strong social structures.

If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Hands down, pizza!
