Individualized Evidence Based Therapies
ACT Learning Centre provides evidence-based, innovative, and leading-edge assessment and intervention for children, youth, and adults with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays or developmental disabilities. Located across Ottawa, Kingston and Pembroke, therapies are offered by our experienced therapists at one of our 5 clinics, or in some cases, in your home.
Speech Language Therapy
ACT Learning Centre’s Speech Therapists assess and treat communication and swallowing/eating disorders in infants, children and youth. We also provide consultation and intervention in the area of augmentative communication.
Our Speech Language Pathologists provide assessment and therapy for clients with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, developmental delays and communication delays. All of ACT’s Speech Therapists are licensed, regulated health professionals with Master’s degrees in Speech Language Pathology.
Occupational Therapy
ACT’s Occupational Therapists offer assessment, education and treatment for infants, children and youth. Our therapists have the training and knowledge to treat sensory processing, fine motor, gross motor, feeding, self-regulation, and activities of daily living.
ACT’s Occupational Therapists provide assessment and therapy for clients with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, developmental delay sensory processing challenges, visual spatial difficulties and fine and gross motor delays. All of ACT’s Occupational Therapists are licensed, regulated health professionals.
Our Team
The team at ACT Learning Centre is comprised of dedicated therapists with unique backgrounds and specialties. Our therapists collaborate with the families and each other to create a hybrid model using speech pathology, occupational therapy, mental health services and ABA therapy, depending on the needs and diagnosis of each client. All of ACT’s services are offered in both French and English.
