Spring Socials Have Sprung!
ACT Learning Centre is proud to welcome back our social groups! Our social groups are available for both children and teens, and are facilitated by trained ABA therapists.
The social groups are designed to help your child develop the necessary skills to form personal connections, build and maintain social connections, develop communication skills and much more.
There are six different socials available, please see below for more information and details on each.
SOCIAL STARTER
Wednesdays – 9:30am-12:00pm
May 11th – June 29th
$900.00
This starter group is designed for young children and early learners who are not quite ready for a social skills group yet, but could benefit from structured play and prompted social interactions.

CHILDREN’S MINDFULNESS GROUP
Thursdays – 2:00pm-4:00pm
May 12th – June 30th
$800.00
This group is designed to provide your child with a toolbox of mindfulness strategies and coping techniques that will help them self-regulate and ease their anxiety.

ACT LIKE A FRIEND CHILDREN’S GROUP
Tuesdays – 9:30am-12:00pm
May 10th – June 28th
$900
This group is designed to help you child navigate their social world. It will teach them the skills required to initiate interactions with others and maintain meaningful relationships.

READY, SET, BUILD, LEGO GROUP
Tuesdays – 4:30pm-6:30pm
May 10th – June 28th

This social group focuses on the development of communication skills and team work for children with difficulties with social communication. This group is designed to teach your child important skills such as: team building, cooperation, and listening through activity and play based learning.

ACT LIKE A FRIEND YOUTH GROUP
Wednesdays – 4:30pm-6:30pm
May 11th – June 29th

If you are looking for a group that will help your child learn and practice the important skills necessary to build and maintain friendships, look no further! Our ACT like a Friend Social Group will focus on skills such as: joining a group, active listening, tone of voice, personal space, and more!

YOUTH LIFE SKILLS GROUP
Thursdays – 4:30p-6:30pm
May 12th – June 30th
$900.00
This group has been designed to develop your child’s independence and life skills. Some of the skills we will focus on are simple: meal preparation, cleaning, time management, internet safety, good hygiene, and more. We will target important social concepts while teaching your child valuable life skills.
