Emily Kooiman

Position: Occupational Therapist
Categories: Entry to School, Occupational Therapy

Emily holds a Master of Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science from Trent University. She has over 10 years of experience working with children through summer camps, nannying and volunteer work and has volunteered with an adapted hockey team (Capital City Condors) for over 13 years. In her spare time, Emily loves to travel, she has been to over 20 countries!

ACT Learning Centre aligns with my values as someone who works with children. ACT’s approach avoids a ‘one-size-fits-all’ methodology, instead offering client-centered interventions to ensure the best possible care. Even in my short time here, I have already seen the tremendous benefits of the Entry to School program, which effectively prepares children for a successful transition to the school environment.
