Mariam holds a MSc in Speech and Language Pathology, as well as a Ph.D. in Speech and Language Pathology. She has over 10 years of experience working as an SLP in the field with children with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. She has experience working with children between the ages of 6 months up till 17 years of age with speech sound delays (articulation, phonology, oral motor issues) stuttering, ASD, language Delays and Disorders – difficulties with expressive and receptive language, language processing and literacy.

Her research focused on the assessment of bilingual children with language disorders. She is currently taking on more of a role in mentoring new clinicians in the field and teaching at the university.

She speaks English, Farsi, French and Spanish and loves to sing, dance and play tennis.
