Rebecca Nishimura is the director of Speech-Language Pathology and the PLAY Project. She is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the province of Ontario.
Rebecca has been working in the ECE field for about five years serving a wide range of programs including childcare centres, camps and school environments. She has always had a passion for inclusion and working with children who have special needs which led her to extend her field of work by doing respite care and working as an Educational Assistant within the school board.

Rebecca Nishimura is the Director of Speech-Language Pathology and the PLAY Project. She is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the province of Ontario. Since graduating with a Master of Communication Sciences and Disorders from McGill University in 2019, Rebecca has worked primarily with preschoolers and school-aged children with autism spectrum disorders and receptive/expressive language difficulties. She emphasizes finding meaningful ways to target communication with her clients by including their interests and using therapy activities that mirror real-life needs as much as possible. Rebecca provides direct therapy and consultation to support children’s communication skills across settings and modalities.

Becky is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and a Carleton University graduate possessing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Becky has experience implementing behaviour therapy to children ages 3 -12 in both one-on-one and group settings. With over five years of experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, Becky is passionate about working alongside her clients to help them reach their full potential safely and compassionately.

Rezwana is a dedicated pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist who has experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of different settings. She is passionate about providing children with the necessary tools to be successful communicators. Rezwana has extensive experience working with children with autism, expressive/receptive language difficulties and speech sound disorders. Rezwana believes that collaborating with families and other health professionals is a crucial component of providing holistic care. She loves to make sessions fun and motivating for her clients as they progress towards achieving their goals.
Rezwana currently holds a Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology as well as the following certifications: Hanen It Takes Two to Talk (ITTT), PROMPT Level One, Sequential Oral-Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding Program, Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol, and the Fluency Plus Program. In her spare time, Rezwana enjoys spending time with her family, trying new restaurants and travelling.

Rezwana is a dedicated pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist who has experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of different settings. She is passionate about...
Richard has 10 years of experience working on the administrative side of the health care rehabilitation sector, focused on data collection, management and reporting. He was instrumental in the coordination and implementation of the School-Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS) that transitioned from the Local Health Integration Networks (LHIN) to the Children’s Treatment Centres (CTC) in 2018/2019. Since 2021, he has worked on the PLAY Project and Entry to School programs as Program Evaluator through a partnered provider. In 2023, he joined the ACT Learning Centre team to continue this role.
